Overall, I had a great experience with Chinyere. I really appreciated her style of not being intrusive and letting me experiment/figure out my preferences, while also providing guidance and advice. She always had thoughtful and elaborate feedback on my essays, and was great at communicating with and encouraging me. Thank you Chinyere for being such a great coach during the stressful process.

Chinyere was a perfect fit for my daughter who wanted a lighter touch and fit-based counseling (not being told what to do to get into the "best" colleges). Chinyere spent a lot of time in helping her understand and discover her college choices, her own preferences and figuring out her path forward. Even with essays or the applications process, she focused on helping her uncover the stories she wanted to tell without directing her. If you are looking for someone who sees college as the start of a journey vs. an end in itself, Chinyere is wonderful advisor. Chinyere was also always available to us as parents when we had questions or concerns or just wanted reassurance.

I've really enjoyed and appreciated the time I had to work with Chinyere. She has been so helpful with organizing the graduate application process with me, creating a literal roadmap to help keep track of my progress week-to-week, and keeping me accountable to my deadlines. The help that Chinyere provided made the whole application process so much less intimidating, and her insights from within the perspective of the academy were invaluable. I am very glad to have connected with her, and have highly recommended her counseling to other friends in similar situations!

Early May, I decided that I no longer wanted to stick with my original post-undergraduate plans and instead wanted to apply to a master's degree program. At that point, I had a little over a month before the application was due, and I was getting very stressed trying to figure out how I was going to get everything done on time. Plus, I could feel the extensive exhaustion starting to take over as well from trying to finish the semester, my thesis, and my honors exams. I decided to reach out to Chinyere for help. I knew that working with her was the only way I was going to make it through my last-minute application process, and the guidance and support she gave me was above and beyond what I even planned to ask of her. She forced me to pause, get a handle on my stress, and finish my up my undergraduate work; then, once I was done, she helped me make a very feasible timeline to get my application materials done. I especially want to uplift how helpful she was in easing the process of writing my personal statement. As someone who worked in the Writing Center at my undergraduate institution, I know how challenging writing can be, especially when your brain just feels tired, and I truly appreciated that Chinyere met me where I was at. I successfully completed all of my application materials and financial aid application with a little over two weeks to spare. If for whatever reason you're on the fence about working with her, don't be. It was the best decision I made.

Chinyere is the reason I got into college. She helped me come up with ideas for my essays and she spent countless hours editing them for me. She is really patient with students who struggle to write and that was helpful. I was so happy when I got into my top college and I owe it to Chinyere and the time she spent working with me.

Chinyere was a cheerleader, and also showed excellent help when it came to organizing my process of applying and writing! Her support helped me move forward with applying during an incredibly stressful year. Her kindness, friendliness, and seriousness pushed me to take myself and my thoughts more seriously. And her insight as a current graduate student was an incredible plus. She's wonderful!
